Red Banana Plant
The same banana plant from 2007, that I carried into the house to stay alive during the winter. This year, as you can see, the plant was too big to keep in a pot. Actually it probably was too big to bring indoors last year!

yes u can put them …
yes u can put them in the ground. they are grown in 49 of the states…and come back…pretty hardy…..

that is an ensete …
that is an ensete its kin to musa it can only reproduce from seed or by lab cloning,,it rarely produces offsetesor suckers like most common bananas. i have several of them..i also have 8 different banana species.i do it here in ga. im glad to see a newyorker doing well also.
